[ARCHIVED] Eaton County Facilities -Appointment Only Hours

Effective May 11, 2020, access to the Eaton County facilities remains limited.

In an effort to follow recommendations of National and State leaders, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Public Health officials, Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-77, Michigan Supreme Court Administrative Order 2020-14, Eaton County and its Trial Courts are dedicated to the efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19. Our top priority remains the health and safety of the public and our employees.

In an effort to limit exposure and protect the health and safety of the public and our employees, Eaton County Government facilities and Trial Courts will remain closed to the public with limited access for essential services that must be conducted in-person Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Temperature screenings are being conducted on those requiring entrance to the facilities. Masks or facial covering must be worn while in enclosed public areas.

“The public health and safety is our number one concern here at Eaton County and in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the recent orders by Governor Whitmer and recommendations from our Public Health Officers, it is clear that our objective must be to promote social distancing to limit the spread of this virus,” Eaton County Chairperson Terrance Augustine stated. “Continuing the modified public operations represents our commitment to protecting our residents and employees to the extent possible, while maintaining essential county services,” Augustine continued.

All services that can be conducted alternatively (online or by phone) or delayed should be handled in that manner. The public should contact the office or court in which they have business in order to determine whether such business can be delayed, conducted over the phone or online. The County’s Main telephone number is 517-543-7500. Using the directory, persons will be able to contact County and Court offices.

The public is encouraged to access County services via email, the County website www.eatoncounty.org or phone. A complete listing of County phone numbers is available on the website. Please call before coming to a County facility.

The Sheriff’s Office will continue to be fully staffed, however, if you have business at the Jail, please call 517-543-3512. Central Dispatch/9-1-1 and Emergency Management will also continue to be fully staffed.
