Vote for your favorite doggy photo by "liking" it on the Treasurer's Facebook page beginning February 1, 2017 through February 28, 2017

Is your dog or puppy the cutest in Eaton County? Find out by entering the Eaton County treasurer’s free, Third Annual Doggy Photo Contest. First, second, and third place winners will be chosen by the community at large based on the number of votes or “likes” each photo receives on the treasurer’s Facebook page, and featured in an upcoming issue of The County Journal. Pet photos will also be on public display at the Eaton County treasurer’s office in Charlotte, and on the treasurer’s Facebook page.
To enter, send a photo of your pet between the dates of December 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017 by email to: email@example.com or mail to: Eaton County Treasurer, 1045 Independence Blvd, Charlotte, MI 48813. Include your pet’s name, age, breed, current Eaton County dog license number (pets must have a valid Eaton County dog license to enter), and the owner’s name, address, and phone number on the back of the photo or in the body of your email. Email should be sent with the subject line: “Pet Photo Contest.” Licenses can be obtained at the Eaton County treasurer’s office in Charlotte, your local township or city office, or through the new online dog licensing system at www.eatoncountytreasurer.org. Photos will be received between December 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. Voting will be open on the treasurer’s Facebook page from 8:30 a.m. February 1, 2017 through February 28, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
“This has become a fun annual event,” said County Treasurer, Bob Robinson. “It’s fun for dog owners and a great way to inform folks about our online dog licensing system [www.eatoncountytreasurer.org]. Most importantly, we’ll all find out who owns the cutest dog in the county for 2017. I’d like to thank The County Journal for their kind sponsorship and participation in the contest,” he added.
Dog license renewal for 2017 begins December 1, 2016 so it’s the perfect time to enter the contest.
