 Message from your Sheriff

On behalf of my staff I would like to welcome you to the Eaton County Sheriff's Office website. The purpose of this site is to provide the residents of Eaton County information regarding the Sheriff's Office and it's role in keeping Eaton County safe. Our website has been designed to be informative and to provide you with tools to assist our agency in providing the best law enforcement services to our citizens.

Eaton County is located just west of the greater Lansing, Michigan area. The County seat is Charlotte which is located in the center of Eaton County 20 miles southwest of Lansing. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for general law enforcement activities throughout the County and provides contractual police services to Delta and Oneida Townships, as well as the Village of Vermontville. A satellite office is also located in Windsor Township and Olivet.

Small Talk Logo 

Small Talk is where children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse are interviewed and offered therapy at no cost. The mission of Small Talk is to provide a comfortable, child-friendly atmosphere where children receive coordinated services during the child abuse investigative process.


 

Families Against Narcotics Logo 

Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is a community based program for those seeking recovery, those in recovery, family members affected by addiction and community supporters.  FAN seeks to change the face of addition, dispel the stigma of addiction, and education the community as well as those affected by addiction. 


Rehabnet Logo 

RehabNet.com is a non profit organization with a mission to educate and provide assistance to seniors struggling addiction as well as caregivers and family members with concerns. Our primary objective is to effectively halt the growing silent epidemic of senior addiction.


Sheriff Tom Reich introduces - Run Fight Hide. This video, recently produced by the Houston Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security, dramatizes an active shooter incident in the workplace. Its purpose is to educate the public on how to respond during such an incident. Warning: The initial sequence in this video may be disturbing.
