Keehne Environmental Area

This 17 acre nature study area, built on the site of abandoned limestone quarries, contains two ponds, several nature trails, and an extensive boardwalk system. Keehne was leased from the Village of Bellevue in early 1982 and redeveloped with 100% grant funds in 1983 by the Parks Commission.

Directions to Keehne Environmental Area - East Entrance
I-69 to exit 48 (M-78 Bellevue/Olivet). Turn west on M-78 to Bellevue traffic light. Turn left at light, go two blocks to Williams St. and turn left. Proceed almost to the railroad tracks and turn right at the park entrance sign.

Directions to Keehne Environmental Area - West Entrance
I-69 to exit 48 (M-78 Bellevue/Olivet). Turn west on M-78 to Bellevue traffic light. Turn left at light, go 1/2 mile to Sand Rd. and turn left. Park entrance is on the left about 1/2 mile.
