Doing Business As (DBA) or Assumed Name 

  • $10 filing fee
    • Payments can be made by cash, check, money order or card (additional fees for card apply)
  • Certificate of Assumed Name is valid for 5 years.
  • Application for a DBA may be made by mail or in person 
  • Have your signature(s) notarized (sign in front of a notary)

Getting Additional Copies

The fee is $2 per copy and it will be a certified copy

If you wish to register a Corporation, LLC or LLP, Limited Partnerships and Non-Profit Organization, you would file at the State level at the Corporations Division. If you have questions call our office, at 517-543-2494.


There is a Zoning Ordinance in Eaton County. You may need a Conditional Use Permit to do business in your home.
