Contacting the Friend of the Court

Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

You may access the IVR 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, at 877-543-2660.

Getting Started

• When you dial in, the voice will tell you to follow certain prompts by pressing numbers on your touch tone phone dial pad.
• If you choose the prompt that provides your case-specific information, the voice will tell you to enter your four-digit person identification number (PIN).
• The first time that you dial in, the four-digit number will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
• After you enter the last four digits of your SSN, the voice will tell you to enter another four-digit number (of your choice) in order to reset your PIN number and make it more secure.

Resetting Your PIN

If you should forget your PIN or need your PIN reset, you must contact the Michigan State Disbursement Unit (MiSDU). You may contact the MiSDU by dialing the main IVR number and following the prompts to speak to a representative.

Faxing Documents to the Friend of the Court

You may fax documents to the Friend of the Court at 517-543-9980. It is helpful if you designate to whom the fax should be delivered as well as include your case number.
