The Planning Commission consists of nine (9) members who shall be representative of important segments of Eaton County, such as the economic, governmental, educational, and social development of the County. Planning Commission members are appointed by the Eaton County Board of Commissioners.
The Planning Commission evaluates Conditional Use Permits for approval or denial and recommends approval/denial of text and map amendments to the Eaton County Land Development Code (zoning ordinance) to the Board of Commissioners. The Planning Commission is also responsible for the preparation and updates to the Eaton County Master Plan for approval by the Board of Commissioners.
