At this time, site participation and visitation is not restricted by residency (city, county or township).  Please check the website provided above for the acceptable material list, answers to frequently asked questions, material preparation guidance and other related information.

Eaton County residents are welcome to utilize any of the six recycling centers that the Department of Resource Recovery works with in the county. However, all of these centers are different in many aspects, everything from the accepted materials to the hours of operation. So please be sure understand these differences before showing up with materials to recycle. 

The closest alternative option is the Charlotte Area Recycling Authority. Like most sites, the Charlotte Area Recycling Authority has a very different operation than the Potterville Recycling Center. Recycling Centers 

Eaton County is home to six local recycle centers, these six centers are open to all Eaton County residents. Visit our Eaton County Recycle Center Map to find a center near you! Click each green recycle icon to see that locations hours and a link to additional information such as accepted materials, contact information, and hours of operation. 

ECDRR provides information from local recycling centers but each center operates under the municipality in which it resides. For answers to questions on recycling in your neighborhood, call your local city or village hall.

Bellevue-Olivet Recycling Center

Hours: Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m

Hours: Open 24 hours, batteries are accepted only during business hours within Eaton Rapids Department of Public Works building

Accepted Materials and Additional Information: Accepts plastics #1 - #2, newspaper, steel/tin, aluminium, cardboard, boxboard, junk mail, office paper, magazines, telephone books, and batteries.
