The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting ambitious and dedicated young adults to join our youth program.
What: Law Enforcement program for young adults, 14-20 years of age, to gain valuable hands on experience with Eaton County Sheriff’s Deputies and other local police departments.
Where/When: Meetings are, generally held, every other Wednesday nights, from approximately 6pm-8pm, at the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office. (Charlotte Office or Delta Township Substation)
How: Anyone interested in joining the post will be asked to attend a meeting, where they will receive an application from the post.
Who: Anyone interested in learning more about Law Enforcement or who are looking into a career in Law Enforcement, can and are encouraged to apply.
Activities within the post:
Hands on training with 5 scenarios; Building Searches, Traffic Stops, Firearms etc.
Attend a week long youth academy.
Attend State Competition (demonstrating proficiency in the 5 scenarios)
Volunteering within the community.
Making connection within the law enforcement community.
