Eaton County Sheriff’s Office at work for you – Not a day goes by that you don’t see Eaton County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars on the roads enroute to calls, checking on citizens, cordoning off accident scenes, or the Corrections Road Crew cleaning up parks and picking up litter along roadways, no matter what the weather.  In 2022, Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 36,313 calls for service.

Just to give you an idea, 1,302 calls were Alarm responses, 6,975 were Traffic Stops, 1,585 were Traffic Violations, 1,133 were Check Well-Being calls, 1,570 were Assist Citizen/Motorist Assist responses, 2,167 were Suspicious Situation/Subject/Vehicle responses, and 1,153 were Shoplifting responses, just to name a few.

Recently, I was honored to be able to present awards to several Corrections and Road Patrol Deputies for life saving efforts, acts of professional excellence in the performance of their duties, and letters of commendation.  Certificates were presented to Deputies promoted during the year and the evening ended with the presentation of the Victim Advocate of the Year award and Deputy of the Year.   Due to the generosity of Auto-Owners Insurance two Deputies were named Deputy of the Year and received a visa gift card courtesy of Auto-Owners Insurance.

Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Corrections and Road Patrol Deputies work tirelessly each day with the goal of keeping citizens safe.  They are highly trained and willingly perform their duties going above and beyond what is expected.  I couldn’t be prouder.

Yours in Public Safety,

Sheriff Tom Reich
